Suddenly I felt like blogging, dunno why. Maybe coz I feel lost, neglected, distant? I have no idea...
My bro is still in Aceh. He's supposed to be back today but he go and lose his identities/things there, he won't be coming home anytime soon. I hope in two week's time he's able to take the boat back, and if not maybe the next next boat. No later please... I haven't been celebrating my birthday with him for about two years, I dun want one more year to be added to become 3. I feel so insecure. Is he safe? Is he alright? Will he be ok? Will I get to see him again *touch wood*? Haiz... Oh God, please protect him... Bring him back at the next possible chance he can get.
Hey, National Geographic website is really informative and enjoyable to read. I really didn't expect that but the truth can't be hidden! ;) When I read the articles, I'll just have some comments on it as thoughts run through my mind. Somehow though I just couldn't write them down (that's why I still haven't hand in my 20 reviews) Even writing to Sylvia doesn't appeal to me. I have everything I want to say to her in my head but I JUST CAN'T WRITE THEM DOWN ON PAPER!!! Guess what? I could actually fall asleep! Sylvia has sent me another letter but I still haven't reply her previous one.... I feel so guilty...
Talking about 'CAN'T WRITE THEM DOWN ON PAPER', I have this really wonderful HZGG fanfic I wanna write but... you know the reason lar ok... Let me type what ?I have in mind here. The fanfic will be something like this:
"Oh she's really cute, mother!" Dong Er exclaimed as he held Nan Er in his arms. Ziwei, Xiao Yan Zi, Qing Er, Er Kang, Yong Qi and Xiao Jian who were surrounding him and the tiny baby laughed.
"Of course she is! Her mother is pretty, how can she not be?" Ziwei took Nan Er in her arms and smiled.
Finally... Xiao Yan Zi's wish, hope and dream has come true. I'm so happy for her. Ziwei passed Nan Er to Xiao Yan Zi and slung a love kno necklace over Nan Er's neck. "Surely you remember our promise. Nan Er is now bethrothed to my Dong Er. Dong Er, would you like to marry pretty Nan Er when you grow up?"
Dong Er gave a grin and nodded. Xiao Yan Zi patted his head. "Of course I remember Ziwei. When Nan Er grows up, she'll marry into the Fu family to Dong Er!"

"Mother, may I go to town for awhile?" Nan Er asked her mother politely as her fourth brother finished his bottle of milk in her arms and had falolen asleep. She walked to the bed and laid him down before turning to face her mother who was piling clothes in their wardrobe.
Xiao Yan Zi closed the wardrobe door and turned to face Nan Er with a fierce look on her face. "Why do you want to go to town again? You've just gone there yesterday. What exactly do you do there? Do you have a sweetheart there? How did you know him? Tell me Nan Er!"
At the same time, Yong Qi peeked into his eldest daughter's room. He had just returned from work when he heard the stern voice of his most beloved wife telling off their eldest daughter, Nan Er. "Don't be so hard on Nan Er, Xiao Yan Zi. She's old enough to tell wrong from right. It's just to town, let her go... Go on Nan Er, just be back before dinner ok?"
Xiao Yan Zi gave Yong Qi a cold stare but wasn't given a chance to voice out what she has to say as Nan Er said her thanks and dashed out of the room and passed the open front doors. "You give her too much freedom and allow her to do what she wants all the time. We need to have some control over her you know," Xiao Yan Zi scolded her husband as she tried to stand up from her kneeling position.
Yong Qi ran over to help his once again pregnant wife up and gave her a smile without replying. Yong Qi was reminded of how free Xiao Yan Zi was when he met her. No one could control her, not even Huang Ah Ma.
Huang Ah Ma... I wonder how he is. It's been 18 years since Huang Ah Ma visited our home to welcome Nan Er who had just born. It's been so long...
A knock came from the door and in came Ziwei. "The gates weren't locked and the door was wide open so we invited ourselves in. I know both of you know martial arts but you're like inviting burglars in. How do you do, Xiao Yan Zi?"
A smile lit up Xiao Yan Zi's face when she saw the familiar face. "Ziwei! It's been months since I last saw you! Where's Er Kang? Where's Dong Er? Where's Xiang Hua(fragrant flower)? When did you arrive from Beijing?"
Ziwei took the few steps across the room towards Xiao Yan Zi. "We arrived late last night. We didn't want to disturb you and so we stayed at the town inn. Er Kang is seated outside while Xiang Hua is having a chat with Jing Wei (small bird). As for Dong Er, he stayed in town to have a look around. Come on, why don't we move outside so we can sit down and have a long chat?" Ziwei took Xiao Yan Zi's left arm and led her outside. Yong Qi had already gone outside to talk to Er Kang.

While the Ziwei, Xiao Yan Zi, Er Kang and Yong Qi had a long talk, Dong Er bumped into Nan Er at the town market. "Ouch! Hey, watch where... Eh you are Dong Er right?" Nan Er examined the handsome man in front of her as she rubbed her right shoulder where Dong Er had knocked into her.
"Yeah I'm Dong Er. You're Nan Er right? Sorry I didn't see you just now. Where are you heading? Why aren't you at home?" Dong Er apologized and asked awkwardly. He likes Nan Er but he had a feeling Nan Er regards her nothing more than an older brother. He of course remember nothing about Nan Er's bethrotal to him.
Before Nan Er could answer, a man tapped her shoulder. When she turned her head, she saw that it was Chung Ming. She smiled at him and introduced him to Dong Er. "Dong Er, meet my friend Chung Ming. Chung Ming, meet my cousin Dong Er," Nan Er paused a moment while the men shook hands before continuing, "Dong Er, Chung Ming is my classmate and he has helped me a lot with my calligraphy which I'm really bad in. And Chung Ming, I've known Dong Er basically all my life. I'm sure he and my aunt and uncle had rushed to my house when they first heard I was born. He lives in Beijing where my parents originated but my parents and his keep in contact. Somehow it is always Dong Er's family to visit mine instead of the other way round. I have no idea why. I wish I could see Beijing..."
Dong Er was reminded of Beijing ajnd how familiar the roads there were to him. Dong Er was also reminded of the time when he held baby Nan Er in his arms. He was 6 then and that was like 18 years ago. He remembered vaguely what had taken place but there was one part that was really clear. A picture in his mind where his mother slung a love knotted necklace around Nan Er's neck.
"Dong Er, Dong Er? Have you been listening? Look I have to go now. I still have a couple of shops to go to before going home for dinner. Will you be at my house for dinner? I'm sure your parents and younger sister are at my house now and I'm sure my parents and all my younger siblings are begging them to stay for dinner. Do join us ok? Bye then!" Nan Er gave a small wave before disappearing in the crowd with Chung Ming.
"I'll be there, bye!" Dong Er replied as he stare at the direction Nan Er and Chung Ming had gone. To himself he whispered, "Far away in the sky, close at sight... Oh well..." and he too disappeared in the crowd, in the opposite direction...
